Reparative Movement Workshop with Hadar Ahuvia and local guests

  • Refuge Troy 1813 5th Avenue Troy, New York, 12180 United States (map)

Join for a creative movement and sounding workshop inspired by Hadar’s research and reclamation of Yiddish song, dance, and Ashkenazic prayer.  We will consider the political and social insight offered by the heterophonic modes of jewish practice, making space for the sometime dissonant wisdoms held by the individual and collective body. Open to all curious movers- Jewish and non-Jewish.  No prior experience in any of these cultural practices necessary.

Please note: the Reparative Movement Workshop at The Refuge in Troy is scheduled directly after the 1 PM screening and Q&A of  “Everything You Have is Yours” at the Scene One Spectrum 8 Theatres in Albany. For more info, contact jvpalbany@gmail.com.
