The PLAY-MATES dance party is back with an xtra-xtra special Pride month edition, hosted by Refuge in downtown Troy (1813 5th Ave). Join us for a very special night of music, dancing, and community. Party Queen Scotia will be providing a program of disco, house, and techno that features Hudson's SVB and Rager (Community Rave Network) and Albany's own Goldee Dust (Honey Collective).
Refuge Event Space will be hosting this wildly fun event in their unique and inviting gathering space that boasts an enchanting courtyard, chill lounges, sexy loft, and of course the small ballroom (AKA the Room of Expansion) where all the magic happens. Cash bar will be available. 18+ to enter 21 + to drink, IDs required.
This is a ticketed event with a sliding scale of $5-25. No one will be denied entry for lack of funds. This is also a shared profit event, 50% of the proceeds will go straight to the talented DJs to honor the work they do. Another 25% of the proceeds will go to the scholarship fund for Creative Expression for Kids Summer Program at Refuge, this program encourages self-exploration and self-expression for kids ages 5-11.
