Transformational Breathwork led by Jess Jones

  • Refuge Troy 1813 5th Avenue Troy, New York, 12180 United States (map)

Join in for a 45-minute breathwork activation similar to that of holotropic breathwork. A practice promoting emotional healing and growth.

Holotropic breathing is said to facilitate mental, spiritual, and physical healing benefits. It’s thought to have the potential to bring about improved self-awareness and a more positive outlook on life. You can use it to support your development in a variety of ways.

The word holotropic comes from the Greek words “holos” or “whole” and “trepein” which means “to move in the direction of something,” together translating to “moving towards wholeness.”

It’s thought that the practice allows you to move beyond your body and ego to get in touch with your true self and spirit. It allows you to better connect with others and the natural world. Holotropic breathing may be used to treat a wide range of conditions, including: stress, addiction, chronic pain, and depression.

Jessica will facilitate the breathwork session with both electronic and live sounds such as a medicine drum and deer hoof rattle. Come as you are but please bring:

- a blanket

- a water bottle

- journal and pen (if desired)

- your favorite crystals (if desired)

Mats will be provided, however you may bring your own if desired.

Please arrive promptly at 6pm
